Our goal at Come & Stay was to redefine travel by offering Nordic-design apartments that blend hotel-quality standards with the comfort of home.
How we spotted a market-fit
The idea for Come & Stay stemmed from a desire to offer travelers more than just a place to stay. We noticed a gap in the market for high-quality, fully furnished apartments that provided the flexibility of short-term stays while offering the comfort and amenities of home.
Inspired by the growing demand for alternative accommodations and a passion for design, we aimed to create a seamless, tech-driven experience that blended the best of both worlds—hotel luxury and homely comfort.
We also saw a unique opportunity in renting out houses that were on the market for sale, giving potential buyers a chance to experience properties before committing, and gaining income while it's for sale.
This insight led us to partner with Estaldo, a digital real estate agency, where we combined furnished short-term rentals with property sales.
Results
By identifying a gap in the market for flexible, high-quality, fully furnished apartments and recognizing the potential in renting homes for sale, we were able to create a unique offering that combined the best of short-term rentals and home comforts. This approach led to rapid growth, with 70+ properties worth DKK 400M and over 4,000 guests hosted in under a year.
Our tech-driven operations allowed us to scale efficiently with just two full-time employees, generating DKK 5.5M in annual revenue.
Ultimately, our innovative business model caught the attention of Estaldo, leading to a successful and almost million dollar valuation exit and partnership, that seamlessly integrated short-term rentals with property sales.
